Statement of Faith
  1. We affirm this statement of faith along with the Baptist Faith and Message (2000).
  2. We believe that the Bible is verbally inspired by God and is inerrant.  The Bible is the supreme and final and adequate authority in faith and life.
  3. We believe that the only acceptable translations of the Bible are those that have made every effort to adhere as closely as possible to the original languages of the Holy Scriptures.
  4. We believe that there is only one true and living God existing in three persons – Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
  5. We believe that God the Father is the first person of the Trinity.  He is an invisible Spirit who is self-existent, and eternal.  God is present everywhere at once, He is all knowing, all-powerful, and He never changes.  He is Holy, righteous, and just.
  6. We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, shed His blood and died as a substitute for our sin, was buried, rose again bodily, and ascended to the Father according to the Scriptures.
  7. We believe that the Holy Spirit is the third person of the Trinity. He possesses all the attributes of God and is co-existent with the Father and Son.
  8. We believe that all people are the direct creation of God and are not the result of evolution, but are made in the image of God. All people are sinners by nature and choice.  Sin is disobedience to God’s Word as revealed in Scripture and separates us from God.
  9. We believe that all who, in repentance and faith, receive the Lord Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior are born again by the Holy Spirit and thus become children of God.
  10. We believe that the Lord, apart from the works of man, sustains salvation.  It is impossible for one born into the family of God to be lost again.
  11. We believe that the New Testament church is a local body of baptized believers with Christ as its head and the Holy Spirit as its guide.  The ordinances of the church are baptism by immersion and the Lord’s Supper.
  12. We believe in the literal, personal, pre-tribulational return of Christ for His church and the literal, visible, personal, premillennial return of Christ to the earth.
  13. We believe that Biblical marriage is between one biological man and one biological woman.

  4. I will support the testimony of my church: By attending faithfully; by living a godly life; and by giving regularly.  (Hebrews 10.25; Philippians 1.27; 1 Corinthians 16.2; Leviticus 27.30)
Plan of Salvation

The Philippian Jailer asked, “What must I do to be saved? (Acts 16.30)”  The greatest question in life!  How I answer determines how I live today and where I will spend eternity, Heaven or Hell.  Paul’s answer, “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved, you and your household (Acts 16.31).”  What must I do to be saved?  How will I answer this question?  Salvation comes when I . . .

ADMITI must admit that I am a sinner who needs a Savior, “For all have sin and fall short of the glory of God (Romans 3.23).”  What is sin?  Sin is disobeying God’s Law.  God’s Law is summed up in two commandments, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.  This is the greatest and foremost commandment.  The second is like it, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”  On these two commandments depend the whole Law and the Prophets (Matthew 22.37-40).”   We all have broken God’s Law by loving things more than God or mistreating our neighbor.  We are all sinners!  The consequence of my sin is separation from God, “For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord (Rom 6.23).”  Death means eternal separation from God!

BELIEVE I must believe that Jesus Christ is God’s Son and that He died and rose from the dead to provide forgiveness for my sin.  I must receive Jesus Christ as my Savior, “For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God (Ephesians 2.8).”  Salvation can never be earned by doing good things!  It is a gift from God, paid for by Jesus Christ, received by faith!  Faith is trusting Jesus totally for salvation.  God loves me and desires my salvation, “For God so loved the world, that He gave his only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life (John 3.16).”

CONFESS I must confess Jesus Christ as my Lord, “That if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved; for with the heart man believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the month he confesses, resulting in salvation (Romans 10.9-10).”  Belief originates in my heart and produces confession with my month.  I can be saved now by praying a prayer like the one below:

“Dear God, I admit that I am a sinner and have broken your Law.  I believe that Jesus Christ is your Son and that He died for my sin and rose from the dead.  I choose to receive Jesus Christ as my Savior and Lord.  Jesus, forgive me of my sin and come into my life and save me.”

If you prayed this prayer and meant it, you are saved!  You should immediately begin attending a Bible believing church to learn more about God’s wonderful plan for your life.  God’s plan for your new life in Christ begins with Believer’s Baptism.  Baptism is an act of obedience to God that shows what He did in your life.  We rejoice in your decision to accept Jesus as Savior and would like to pray for you!  Please contact us to let us know of your decision.
